Getting to Big Buddha Beach
By Bus, Train, Car or the other
Plane If you are arriving by Train, Aircon
Bus (Coach) or Thai Airways (Surat Thani Airport www.thaiair.com)
you should make sure you are on Punthip's (name of the company)
bus , and not Songserm's bus. The reasons are: A.
Comfort, B. Safety and C. Speed. If you find
it difficult to determine which company you are being herded
onto ask if the bus is going to Don Sak as you need to go
there. Of course if you are traveling down by Air Con bus
from Bangkok you don't have to worry about this as they
take care of you all the way to Koh Samui anyway (make sure
you're not on a Don Sak or Surat Thani coach). When you're
bus arrives at the Ferry you will have to get off. This
is the law. However, you may leave your bags and back packs
on the bus as you will be getting on again after the 1 1/2
Hr. ferry journey. Make sure you take your passport,
travelers cheques and other valuables with you !!
