Secret Garden Bungalows
Secret Garden is not one of the oldest established Bungalow resorts on Big Buddha beach, even though we celebrate our twelfth year this year. We are, however, one of the friendliest and well-established Bungalow resorts and we like to think we have a good reputation, and that we are seen to care about our guest's requirements and wishes. We are set in the middle of the bay at the nicest part of the beach, not far from the Ferry jetty to Koh Phangan. This area is great for families and children as the water here is normally very safe.

Secret Garden was bought as an open plot of land in 1987 by my wife and I and consisted of coconut trees and nothing else, refer to the photo on the right. In 1989 my brother in law, Tuk, together with his friend Sem, built a pub on the land, and called it the Beach Pub. Then in 1993 we started to build the first bungalows. The musical Sundays started around 1990 and we've slowly expanded the resort ever since. We are only a small resort with 8 differently styled individual rooms and we like it that way as we can give more attention to, and be more personable with our guests. As Samui grows in popularity, and the quality the visitor expects becomes more defined, we upgrade our resort accordingly.

Rooms 7 & 8 are double bedroom bungalows with Kitchen.

We are not a place that demands that you hire our motorbikes and take our tours, nor are you herded and chaperoned. We give the guest all the freedom he wants and we're always ready to accommodate requests for any needs you might have. At present we are carrying out such an upgrade in our bar and restaurant area and we hope to be able to show it to you soon on this Site. As our guest you will note that we go to great lengths to make sure the quality and quantity of our meals are perfect value for money and at a standard designed to please every guest.

Within 2 minutes walk from our entrance are convenience stores and motorcycle and jeep rental. We are also agents for Budget car Rental. There is also a grocery store. Meanwhile here are our room descriptions and prices.

Room 1 is our most luxurious Bungalow and is located 2 meters from the beach. It has a fridge, full UBC Satellite TV system, a hot water shower, and is fully air-conditioned. One of the loveliest characteristics of this room is the Balinese open air shower......Don't worry, no one can see you !!

The feeling of being outside in the open is wonderful, and the view of the sea right outside your patio doors is wonderful. There is also a small terrace which overlooks the beach and normally a Hammock, but that can't always be guaranteed ! Of course this room has a western styled toilet.
The price for this room is 1750 Baht per night. In low season we can negotiate deals for longer term stays. Keep looking at our Site for the occasional special offers.

Rooms 2,3 & 4 are the standard rooms.	Rooms 2,3, & 4 are our standard rooms, which are not air conditioned yet so we can keep the price down. These rooms have a double bed and rotating fan, a hot water shower and a western styled toilet. They have a small veranda and the floors are parquet and are comfortable to walk on giving that real Tropical feel.
There is room to keep your cloths and belongings, and there are Mosquito nets on all the windows and the shower room ventilation. The price for these rooms is only 500 Baht. In low season we can also give some discount so keep an eye on our website..... You may see a great offer !!
